Jacqueline Kooter.

Jacqueline´s videos are based on her residency (Takt kunstprojektraum) stay in Berlin during the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 2009.

1. Blocked off.          5:05 min                      2009  -  Revision 2011

A man lands on a block in a landscape. At first he stays isolated in this continuous expanding environment, but in the end he manages to escape the suffocating landscape of concrete blocks.

(inspired by the design of The Holocaust Memorial -Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe- in Berlin)

2. Walled in. 3:59 min            2009  -  Revision 2011

A man and his shadow are having a physical and emotional dialogue with a wall; exploring, fighting, observing both the wall and each other.

(inspired by the history of The Berlin Wall 1961-1989. The video contains footage from two sites with remnants of The Berlin Wall)

3. Trapped in the city.     1:56 min              2011

A man is crawling around a spiderweb, searching for a way out, but in the end he is absorbed by it.

Trapped in the city.
